THE DESTINED MEETING.

Konichiwa! My name is Mitsubishi Kiseki. Today is yet another lovely day especially because it is 24th December which means it is Christmas, the time where you get to spend time with your love one. Plus, by judging the sky I think the snow will fall down soon. Ah, such a romantic day to have a date with your beloved one. That is what I thought last year but this year…

*SLAP*

“YOU ARE THE WORST!” She yelled out loudly and runs far away from me.

It was supposed to be a lovely day but I just got slapped by my girlfriend and now, we are officially breaks up. Maybe I was being too harsh to her. The reason for my behaviour is I told her that her love is cheap. I’m sorry that I’m a straight forward person. I have been told by countless peoples that I am indeed a very straight forward person. I couldn’t lie but I could make an excuse or make a twist of the reason so that they will confuse.

Anyway, back to the break up thingy… I said her love is cheap because we only dated for two weeks and we end up like today. I can’t really call her ‘single and available’ because even when we already broke up, she still have a boyfriend. It’s hard to admit but I got cheated. She is just faking her tears and she probably on her way to her boyfriend right now. I found out about it by accident. I was walking toward a store to buy some cat foods for my bob-tailed cat named Nao when I saw her kissing and acting spoil to another guy. After she left, I meet the guy and we kind of threw to each other a few punches before someone stopped us.

I was pissed and didn’t come out from my house for three straight days until she said she has something to talk about. The day of meeting is today and just finished. Truth to be told, I am still pissed right now but what the heck. Looks like I’m going to be alone in this Christmas too. Maybe I should just went home and play with Nao since she is a playful kitten but she is being lazy in this winter. Ahh… I’m bored. If only I have a girlfriend…

“GAAAAAAAH!!! I’M SO PISSED!!” I yelled out loudly my anger and frustration. I wondered if there is a cute girl who does not act like that exists in this world. I know I just make everyone staring at me because of my yelling but I don’t care. It made me feel a little relief now. Now, I need to return home and cuddle with my Nao.

“Hmm?” I sounded before turning behind me and saw a girl. A cute girl staring at I and she looked shock, probably because of my yelling. Our eyes meet up with each other and none of us able to move from the each other’s gaze. It is as if we were attracted with each other by fate. Then, she blinked which also makes me snapped out. She continued to blink for a few times before she looked down and her expression changed. What could possibly make her expression changed?

*CHOMP*

I blinked and looked down at what is staring and saw a black mixed with brown and white color shiba-inu, is biting my leg. At first, I didn’t feel anything until the pain comes. “GAAAAH!!! KUSO! THAT’S HURT!!” I began to yell loudly and for some reason, I don’t feel like hitting the dog. Usually I would just hit it but this time, I just yell out of pain. I don’t know what to do until the cute girl I saw running toward me and hugged the dog.

“MAO! STOP IT! You are hurting him!” She said and repeated for a few times before the dog finally letting go of my leg. Right away, I fall down and tried to endure the pain. It really hurts. That dog has no mercy at all! What did I do wrong?!

The girl patted the dog’s head and hit him lightly. The hitting doesn’t seem like it would hurt a single fly at all. She probably really loves that dog of hers because I would do the same to Nao too if she made some mistakes. “That’s it. Good boy. Now, apologize to him.” The girl said. The girl, she looked small and undoubted younger than me. She has short brown hair, ember eyes and her face looked a little plae white. Maybe it is because of the winter. She wore hoodie shirt, shorts, long sneakers, a pair of glasses, and a bag. She seriously looked cute and kind of my type… WAIT!! What am I thinking? Ah… I’m a horrible person.

“Nee… Are you alright? Is it painful?” She asked me as she titled her head. Seriously, she looked so cute.

“N-no! I’m alright. I’m fine. It doesn’t hurt much!” I said as I noticed the dog is staring at me. No, it’s more like it is glaring at me as if he wanted to bite me or even kill me and let my flesh to be eaten by other animals.

The girl blinked, “Really? It looked like it hurts just now. Are you sure you are alright? I know a good doctor around here. She can help you with the wound.”

“Seriously, I’m alrigh—ouch!” I was about to decline the offer but she just poked my wound and now I finally back to my reality from gazing the girl. The dog bites… It really hurts…

Once again, I am wondering the reason for me to be here. Yes, I know this place is for the sick but this clinic isn’t for humans. It’s for animals. It’s a vet. I am not an animal. I am just a normal high school student who will turn a 2nd year this spring.

“Mitsubishi Kiseki. Your wound isn’t deep. Well, almost deep but it can be healed in no time. I have uses some medicine so, it won’t hurt much. You just need to take a rest for a day and it will alright.” The female doctor said and I can blame it to that dog.

“Grrr…” the dog growled and glared at me.

Did I really do something wrong? Why this dog is angry with me? I did nothing wrong. Ah, I’ve just broke up with my girlfriend and now I can’t walk for a day just because this stupid dog bite me out of nothing. Why am I being tortured like this? Its not fair at all. Now, I just want to leave and cuddle with my Nao.

The dog growled at me again but I decided to just ignore that stupid dog. However, the dog suddenly stopped growling when the female doctor approached him and patted him softly. “Mao, you seem very healthy and lively. I am glad but just don’t think every human is an enemy.” The doctor said. Am I his enemy? What the wrong with this dog? It really made me annoyed especially when I saw the dog is enjoying being patted by the doctor. It’s wagging its tail. So, he must be enjoying it. Not only that, he looked more happy when the cute girl from before came, hugging the stupid dog and lift it off the groud. Well, aren’t you a lucky dog? If only I have the power to switch place with you, doggy.

“Are you alright? Can you walk? Do you need my help? Is your home nearby?” she asked with a lot of questions but all of them are easily answered. She must felt guilty because the dog bites me but it isn’t her fault. IT’S THAT DOG! WHY THE HELL ARE YOU GLARING AT ME?!! It just staring at me as if it’s telling me to go away and never come back.

Then, I smirked making the dog felt offend. The dog wanted to bark out loud but the girl stopped him. Haha~ serve you right! “It still hurt a little since he did bite me hardly. My home is actually nearby. I hope you don’t mind.” I said and grin. You reap what you sow doggy.

By the time we are walking together, it’s already midnight and somehow I keep wondering the reason for me to accept her offers of helping me. I must be troubling her since today is another cold night in winter season. I should have decline like the dog wanted. While I was thinking, another cold wind blowing and I heard the snow supposed to come tonight. It seems like it won’t come this year.

When the second cold breeze blew, I managed my neck muffler before noticing the girl is hugging her dog tightly. She must be feeling cold right now as well. She is a girl so; she must felt colder than I am. So, needless to say I stopped my movement and turned to the girl. I remove my neck muffler and warp it around her neck. She was shocked to see my action but I just smiled and say, “It must be cold. Don’t worry, I can handle it.”

“T-thank you and I’m sorry. It must be bored walking with me. I just don’t talk much.” She said and looked down.

“Don’t worry about it. I’m the one who should apologize for making you walk this late and cold night with me.” I said and finally we are going to make a conversation.

The girl blinked and shook her head aside before replying, “It is my decision and I’m used to walk around at night. Plus, Mao is with me. So, I don’t mind and actually… My home is pretty nearby from here. It’s close to the high school.”

“Seriously? That’s my high school. I’m going to be 2nd year this spring. What about you?”

Suddenly, the girl smiled. “It’s my niiChan’s high school. He is a 2nd year and will be 3rd year soon. I’m still in middle school. 3rd year and will be joining high school soon!”

“I see…” I sounded sadly. I was hoping she has the same high school but she looked young but never thought she is actually one year younger than me. However, she sounded like she will be my kouhai this spring. Till then, I can’t wait! “Oh, yeah. I am going to get off our topic. I was just curious that have you heard about the Red String Girl? ”

Suddenly, she stopped walking. I wondered the reason but she just smiled and continues walking with me. “Yeah, I heard about her. That Red String Girl, she must be weird, right?”

“No, I don’t.” I disagree with her. “I think she is an amazing and interesting person. She had a gift to make two peoples become close. However, she is being used by others. Just like my ex-girlfriend, she said I am her fated person and told me the red string girl already saw our same string. But she lied and I know there are many peoples using the Red String Girl’s name to trick others. I’ve seen both male and female doing it. I somehow wished that the gifted girl to be happy. I just don’t know the reason but I really wished that she will be happy.” I speak up and grin. “I think I’m the weird one for feeling these weird things. I don’t even know anything about her. Its rumours spread around here.”

With that, we finally reached my home. Before I looked at the girl, I noticed the snow has finally come down. It is a beautiful sight. It looked like marine snow since the sky is clearly dark. When I turned to her, I saw her face is turning red. Is she going to have a fever? Maybe I should do something to prevent that. Then, once again I removes my sweater and covered the girl with a little bit of my warm.

“You can return them all later.” I said as I titled my head aside. When I saw her face she just looked down with her face is turning red and she looked like wanted to say something. So, I just let her takes some time.

“T-Thank you very much!” She finally said it with her ember eyes are glittering beautifully and it is a sight that made my heart beat becomes faster.

In haste, I quickly asked a question. “A-anou, ca-can we—I meant, can I know your name?! Oh, wait. My name is Mitsubishi Kiseki. What’s yours?”

“I’m Shiyori. Kazehaya Shiyori.” She introduced herself along with a small giggling sound and a smile.

“Umm… Umm… Shiyori-chan.” I called her first name and as a reply, she smiled. It means she is allowing me to call her by her first name. OH, YEAAHH!! “Ca-can we go out…To-together sometimes? Maybe this Sunday, its school holiday, right? To-tomorrow, perhaps? …If you are free.” I said and I know I just had some grammar mistakes but what the heck? I’m seriously nervous right now.

After hearing what I said, she stays silent and her eyes are looking around from up, down, left and right. Is she feeling shy? Well, that’s just too cute. “Sure, Idont have anything to do tomorrow.” She said and if can, I want to jump out of happiness but she is here right now. I’ll try to control my—

“WOOF!!” …An annoying barking sound suddenly came.

I looked at that dog called Mao and just stared at him. He almost has the same name as my cute Nao but I hate that dog. Is he wanted to ruin our ‘date’?! NO! No, you stupid dog! NOOO!!!

“Mao, don’t worry. We’ll go home home. See you later Mitsubishi-kun.” Ah, she didn’t call my first name but I am glad she didn’t plan to bring that dog with her. So looong, baka-inu. Hehe

After she walked away, I felt kind of guilty for letting her go home alone but that dog is with her. He did bite me out of nothing. I am sure he will bite anyone who got close to Shiyori. He is kind of a protector or a body guard. Oh, well… When I opened the door to my house, I felt cold since I lived here alone anyway but not really ‘alone’.

“Meow…”

Nao, my bob-tailed cat mewled as if she greeting me. I lifted her up and reply, “I’m home. You must be hungry, Nao. Since I had a happy day today, I’ll add an extra fish on your bowl. Be happy for it!” Then, I closed the door, giving foods to Nao and then, went to sleep.

A/N: From now, I will continue to Kiseki’s POV until I write (KISEKI POV END) like I did to Shiyori in the end of prologue.
