Sayonara II - The Chemistry Teacher.

Many
years have passed since the incident happen and now, the survival is
a form 4 student at Yumemiru Academy. Plus, it is now in the edge of
autumn season as many brown leafs has disappeared from the trees and
the cool breeze always came lately. Every students of Yumemiru wear
layers of clothes to withstand the cold including the class 4-A
students which is having chemistry lesson in a laboratory. The
chemistry teacher is none other than Hitomi-sensei, the youngest
teacher in this academy.
“Students,
listen up! Since we already done with this chapter, we will now begin
the last chapter of chemistry form 4. The title is…” Hitomi
uttered as she write something with a blue marker pen on the white
board. Suddenly, she stopped writing on the board and doesn’t move
even a muscle.
“Ouch!”
sounded a student.
“No
sleeping in my class!” angered Hitomi and continued writing on the
board.
At
that time, nobody turns around because they already know that
Yamashita Akira, a blond noble student is just got hit by Hitomi’s
flying marker. The blond named Akira rubbed his forehead while
yawning and just stared at Hitomi’s action.
“Sleep
again and you’ll have blue spots at your face…” threaded Hitomi
without looking back.
“I
rather have red so that *yawn* I don’t have to go to this stupid…
Class…” Akira mumbled as he slowly closing his royal-blue orbs
but only for seconds. “Ouch! Stop hitting me with your flying
marker!”
“You
asked for it, kid.” Retorted the teacher as she grabbed another
marker to use.
Akira
sighed and opened a book. “Today Hitomi is being such a meanie and
new wrinkle just created due that, she also hitting me without a re-
OUCH!” sounded Akira as he rubbed his painful forehead again. “Why
can’t you missed your attacks?!”
“Ah,
I’m out of blue marker. Please return them to me.” ordered Hitomi
with a weird smirk.
Really, this stuff always happen
only in this lab and this class from the beginning of school but none
of the students failed chemistry test because there always a mentor
and a teacher leading each one of them even for Akira. Surprisingly,
Akira’s mentor is actually Hitomi-sensei herself and she only
teaches Akira, that’s why they are really close~
Finally, the chemistry lesson ended. Everyone packed their things and ready to leave the lab but they all are stopped by Hitomi. “Class, before we dismissed. There’s a teacher going to replace me while I’m gone.”
The students felt shocked to hear what she said and yelled, “WHAT?! WHY?!” except one student, “Yay~ Hitomi-sensei is going to- OUCH! STOP THAT!”
“I have a personal business with someone…” uttered Hitomi while blushing a little which making everyone sweats drops. “My replacement is a new teacher. You’ll meet him tomorrow. Oh, and he also will be Aki-Chan’s mentor so; don’t cry for me okay, Aki-Chan?”
“Why would I?!” rejected Akira.
Meanwhile both the teacher and the student are having a nice and peaceful (?) talk, all the students exited the lab feeling really sad for Hitomi going to be away for a few month. Hitomi is really a great teacher even though she always makes ‘weird’ punishment for them. They hoped the new teacher will as kind as Hitomi-sensei. Sensei said ‘him’ so; the replacement must be a guy. Hmm…
“Akira! Yamamoto-sensei going to be mad if you’re late!” yelled one of Akira’s classmates.
When Akira heard the speaking, he stopped talking with his mentor and answered, “Alright! I’m coming!” with a load voice. Then, he turned to his mentor and congratulated her, “Send my regards on your fiancé, Hitomi-sensei. Hope you’ll have a nice date with him.” Then, he turned away and grabbed his belongings, ready to move towards his classroom.
Suddenly, his steps stopped by a pair of warm hands hugged him from behind. Akira is definitely shocked and asked, “Se-sensei?” Hitomi’s hug becomes really tight while her hands are like trembled. “Sensei, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing…” answered Hitomi before she released her hug and continued speaking, “Go, your English teacher is waiting.”
Akira stared at Hitomi’s face and saw a smile at her lips. The smile is not like the always he sees everyday, a very rare smile. The blond really speechless and just exited the lab, feeling really confused by his teacher’s action. Why she does that just now? Her hands really trembled… It’s like… We never gonna met again… Akira stopped walking and moves his royal-blue orbs to the lab for awhile and murmured, “Impossible…” then, he continued walking.
In the same time, Hitomi laid her body at the wall while looking at the white ceiling. “What will be, will be… His fates will never change…”
“Sayonara, light…”
